This stoneware tea for one set pairs a little house teapot with a matching mug, and the two stack into a single cream cottage. The teapot is the upper storey, with a pitched sage green roof that forms the lid, a small chimney at one side and a pouring spout opposite the handle. Green window panes sit across the cream walls, with arched windows down the centre and a swag of evergreen garland tied with a red bow along the top. The mug makes the ground floor, with a front door marked by a red heart, a fir tree on either side and more green windows above. Stacked, the set stands 24.5cm tall, 18.4cm wide and 10cm deep.

It is made for a quiet cup on a winter afternoon: brew in the teapot, pour into the mug and settle in with the pot beside you. Through Christmas it brings a festive touch to the breakfast tray, a kitchen shelf or a side table by the fire, and between pots of tea the stacked house sits on a dresser or windowsill as a decoration in its own right.
