Description

The Taylor is a 489mm polished chrome wall light with a cylindrical opal etched glass shade and a single 3W G9 LED bulb included. The polished chrome arm and circular wall plate form an angular geometric bracket that projects 130mm from the wall, positioning the glass shade forward and upward from the mounting point.

Rated IP44, the Taylor is suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2, making it appropriate for installation beside mirrors, above vanity units, and on walls within reach of a shower enclosure. The opal etched glass diffuses the 3W LED into soft ambient light at 3000K, providing enough illumination for grooming tasks without creating harsh shadows on faces. The compact 114mm width allows pairs to be fitted either side of a bathroom mirror without overwhelming narrow wall sections.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs with chrome taps, shower fittings and mirror frames commonly found in contemporary bathrooms. The geometric arm structure gives the fitting a architectural profile rather than a generic cylindrical shade-on-a-bracket appearance. The glass cylinder sits proud of the wall, allowing light to wash both upward and downward across the wall surface as well as projecting forward into the room.

The Taylor uses a standard G9 bi-pin base, allowing the included 3W LED to be replaced with an alternative G9 LED if a different colour temperature or output is preferred. The IP44 rating certifies protection against water splashes from any direction, meeting UK Building Regulations requirements for bathroom lighting installation.

The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 1 and 2. This includes areas within reach of a shower or bath, beside sinks and vanity units, and on walls adjacent to shower enclosures. Zone 0 (inside a shower cubicle or bath) requires higher IP ratings.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Taylor includes a single 3W G9 LED bulb at 3000K colour temperature. The bulb is user-replaceable, allowing you to change to a different G9 LED if you prefer a cooler or warmer light tone.

Can I install two of these either side of a mirror?

Yes. The 114mm width and 130mm projection make the Taylor suitable for symmetrical pairs. Position them 600-900mm apart horizontally at approximately 1600-1800mm from the floor, depending on mirror height and user preference.

Is the polished chrome finish fingerprint-resistant?

No. Polished chrome shows fingerprints and water spots more readily than brushed or satin finishes. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain the reflective surface, and avoid touching the chrome directly during routine cleaning.
