Description

The Taylor is a 1 light bathroom wall light with a polished chrome rectangular backplate and arm supporting a cylindrical opal etched glass shade. The fitting measures 195mm high by 114mm wide with a 137mm projection from the wall, and comes with a 3W LED G9 bulb installed inside the glass cylinder, emitting 3000K warm white light through the etched diffuser.

Rated IP44 for moisture resistance, the Taylor is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, including positions alongside mirrors, above vanity units, and in alcoves where splash protection is required. The opal glass diffuses the LED output to reduce glare and spread light evenly across adjacent wall surfaces, making it functional as task lighting for grooming or as ambient light in smaller bathrooms and cloakrooms. The 114mm width allows pairs to be installed either side of a mirror without overwhelming narrow wall sections.

The polished chrome finish on the metal frame provides high reflectivity that amplifies light output in bathrooms with limited natural light or darker tile finishes. The glass shade sits in a chrome collar that hides the lampholder from view when the fitting is seen from the side or below. The rectangular backplate covers standard UK 25mm back boxes and the fitting can be mounted on most wall surfaces including tile, plaster and moisture-resistant board.

What bathroom zones is the Taylor suitable for?

The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which includes wall positions alongside mirrors, above vanity units, and in alcoves away from direct shower spray. It is not rated for zone 1 (directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure).

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Taylor includes a 3W LED G9 bulb emitting 3000K warm white light. The G9 socket accepts replacement bulbs up to 3W maximum.

Can the bulb be replaced?

Yes. The G9 bulb is user-replaceable. Turn off the mains supply, allow the fitting to cool, then pull the bulb straight out of the G9 socket and push a replacement bulb in until it clicks into place.

How is the glass shade cleaned?

Wipe the etched glass with a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent, rinse with clean water, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can scratch the etched finish.
