Description
The Kichler Talland is a 2-light bathroom wall light with twin glass shades modelled on early telegraph pole insulators, set on a polished chrome backplate and paired with two arched chrome arms. Each shade houses a 3W G9 LED bulb at 3000K (both included), giving warm white light diffused through the ridged clear glass. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, covering areas outside the shower enclosure but within the general bathroom space.
Designed for positioning above double vanities or either side of a bathroom mirror, the 336mm width spans typical 600-900mm basin units without overwhelming the wall. The 175mm projection clears most mirror edges and provides downward-directed task light for grooming. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light from the room back into the space, amplifying brightness in smaller bathrooms or those with limited natural light. The ridged profile of each glass shade creates prismatic patterns when the LEDs are lit.
The twin-shade configuration balances light output across a wider spread than single-bulb fittings, reducing shadowing when used above a double basin. The clear glass and chrome combination suits contemporary, transitional and modern-classical bathroom schemes, and pairs visually with chrome taps, shower fittings and heated towel rails. The included G9 LEDs are replaceable if needed, though typical LED lifespan exceeds 15,000 hours at standard residential use patterns.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in a shower room?
The IP44 rating makes the Talland suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which cover general bathroom areas outside the shower enclosure. It cannot be installed directly above a shower tray or bath (zone 1) or inside a shower enclosure (zone 0). For installation within 600mm of a shower head or bath edge, a higher IP rating is required.
Are the LED bulbs replaceable?
Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 capsule LEDs, which can be replaced if they fail or if you want to change the colour temperature. The supplied bulbs are 3W at 3000K (warm white). G9 LEDs are widely available in 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 6000K variants.
What width vanity unit does this suit?
The 336mm overall width works well above 600-900mm double basin units. For narrower single basins, the twin-light spread may be wider than needed. The 175mm projection clears most bathroom mirrors when mounted 150-200mm above the mirror top edge.
How is the polished chrome cleaned?
Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with water. For water spots or fingerprints, a small amount of white vinegar on the cloth removes marks without scratching the chrome. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which dull the polished finish over time.
