Description

The Taccia is a 6-light LED cluster pendant built around six double-layered glass teardrop shades in amber, smoke and clear finishes, suspended at staggered heights from a 40cm circular chrome canopy. Each teardrop houses a 5W integrated LED producing 3000K warm white light, for a total 30W output across all six pendants. The outer glass layer on each shade is embedded with raised bubbles that refract and scatter the light from the inner cylinder.

Designed for installation above dining tables, in entrance halls with double-height ceilings, and in stairwells where the cascading cluster can be appreciated from multiple levels, the Taccia works in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.6m and 4.0m. The six cables are individually adjustable on installation between 80cm and 190cm, allowing the cluster to be arranged in a tight spiral, a stepped waterfall, or a spread composition depending on the space. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and includes gravity toggles to hold the cables flush to the ceiling once set.

The combination of amber, smoke and clear glass gives the cluster a varied tonal range when lit — the amber shades cast a warmer honey-toned light, the smoke shades a cooler grey-diffused light, and the clear shades the brightest direct output. The bubbled outer layer on each teardrop adds texture and visual interest without significantly reducing light output. At 4.73kg total weight the cluster requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or solid ceiling. The integrated LED driver is housed within the canopy, so no separate transformer or control gear is needed on installation.

Yes. Each of the six pendants has an individually adjustable cable between 80cm and 190cm, allowing you to create different arrangements — a tight cluster, a staggered spiral, or a spread waterfall formation depending on the ceiling height and space below.

Is the Taccia dimmable?

The integrated LED is rated at 30W total (6 x 5W). Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer switch model. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility with Schuller's integrated driver.

What ceiling height is needed?

The cluster works in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.6m and 4.0m. For a dining table the pendants typically hang 70-90cm above the table surface, which works in standard 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights when the cables are set to the minimum 80cm drop. Higher ceilings allow the full 190cm drop to be used in stairwells or entrance halls.

How much weight does the ceiling need to support?

The total weight of the cluster is 4.73kg. The ceiling fixing must be secured into a joist or solid ceiling capable of supporting this load. The 40cm chrome canopy spreads the load across a 400mm diameter fixing point.
