Description

The Tacca is a 500mm square LED pendant light built around a polished chrome frame suspending a frosted acrylic diffuser. Four integrated LED strips inside the frame deliver a combined 2500lm at 3000K warm white, distributed evenly across the frosted surface to produce ambient rather than directional light. The suspension cables adjust from 300mm to 1000mm drop, controlled during installation to position the fitting at the required height above a dining table, kitchen island or entryway floor.

Designed for modern interiors with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Tacca suits dining areas where a 500mm square footprint provides broad light coverage without overwhelming a typical 4-6 person table. The frosted diffuser hides the LED strips from direct view when seated beneath the fitting, reducing glare whilst maintaining brightness. The polished chrome frame reflects ambient room light, adding visual weight to the fitting without adding actual mass, the complete assembly weighs 2.4kg including driver and mounting hardware.

The geometric square frame contrasts with traditional round pendants, pairing well with contemporary furniture profiles and rectilinear architecture. The chrome finish shows fingerprints during installation but wipes clean with a microfibre cloth once fitted. The 28W power draw is equivalent to approximately 200W halogen output, making the Tacca a suitable direct replacement for older multi-bulb pendant fittings where rewiring is not required. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable, the 3-year warranty covers LED failure within that period.

Positioning the pendant away from a socket is limited by the 300mm to 1000mm drop range rather than cable length, and the 2.4kg weight keeps the frame level once the fixing is set.

Is the Tacca dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed output of 2500lm and is not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing the fitting on a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or failure.

Can the LED be replaced if it fails?

The integrated LED is non-user-replaceable. A 3-year warranty covers LED failure; if the LED fails within that period, the fitting is replaced under warranty. After 3 years, replacement typically requires returning the fitting to or replacing the entire unit.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 300-1000mm adjustable drop means the fitting works in rooms with ceiling heights from approximately 2.4m upwards. For a dining table, position the diffuser 700-800mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m when using the minimum 300mm drop setting.

How is the polished chrome cleaned?

Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and light marks. For fingerprints or smudges, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, abrasive cleaners or polishes that can damage the chrome finish or leave residue on the frosted diffuser.
