The Tacca is a 500mm circular LED suspension light built around a polished chrome ring frame with an integrated 28W LED strip concealed behind a frosted acrylic diffuser. The LED produces 2500lm at 3000K warm white, distributed evenly around the entire 500mm circumference. Four stainless steel suspension cables support the ring from a polished chrome ceiling rose, with the drop adjustable between 300mm and 1000mm on installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, and reception areas where even circular illumination is needed without a traditional shade, the Tacca works in ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. At minimum drop the ring sits close to the ceiling as a semi-flush fitting; at maximum drop it can be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface. The 500mm diameter suits tables and islands between 1200mm and 1800mm wide, providing balanced light coverage without creating a visual obstruction.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and gives the ring a bright, reflective edge, while the frosted diffuser prevents direct view of the LED strip and softens the light output. The integrated LED is non-dimmable on standard mains switching. The four suspension cables spread the 1.9kg weight across the ceiling rose mounting points, and the cables themselves are thin enough to maintain the visual effect of the ring floating below the ceiling.

The Tacca is part of Mantra's architectural LED suspension range, produced in Spain. The integrated LED cannot be replaced by the end user, but the 28W LED module is rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, equivalent to approximately 10 years of typical domestic use at 6-8 hours per day.

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and operates on standard mains switching only.

What size table does the 500mm diameter suit?

The 500mm ring works well above dining tables or kitchen islands between 1200mm and 1800mm wide. For larger tables or islands, consider hanging two Tacca rings in series or selecting a larger diameter model if available in the range.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by cutting the suspension cables to the desired length between 300mm and 1000mm. Once cut and installed, the drop cannot be easily adjusted without replacing the cables.

What ceiling height is needed?
