The Tabby is a 216mm clear glass globe pendant suspended on a burnished brass chain from a matching brass ceiling canopy. The spherical glass shade houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) that sits visibly inside the transparent globe, casting direct downward light through the open base and ambient light outward through the clear glass walls.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast bars and entrance halls, the Tabby suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where the pendant can hang 700-900mm above a worktop or table surface. The chain is adjustable between 445mm minimum and 1969mm maximum drop, giving flexibility to set the correct height during installation. The burnished brass finish shows a warm antique tone with visible patina and subtle variations across the metalwork.

The 216mm globe provides sufficient visual presence for a single-pendant installation above a small table (up to 1m diameter) or as part of a multi-pendant arrangement over longer kitchen islands. The clear glass shows the bulb itself, so the choice of lamp type (LED filament, vintage-style Edison, standard A60) directly influences the overall appearance. The E27 fitting accepts any standard screw bulb up to 60W, and the pendant is compatible with most trailing-edge LED dimmers when paired with a dimmable LED bulb.

What bulb does it take?

The Tabby takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Since the clear glass shows the bulb directly, most users choose a decorative LED filament bulb or a vintage-style Edison lamp in warm white (2200K-2700K) to complement the burnished brass finish.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The chain allows adjustment between 445mm and 1969mm total drop from the ceiling rose. During installation the chain can be shortened to the required length, with excess links removed or looped inside the canopy.

Is it suitable for dimming?

The pendant itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but dimming capability depends on the bulb you choose. Pair with a dimmable LED bulb and a trailing-edge LED dimmer for full dimming range. Confirm bulb and dimmer compatibility before purchase.
