Description
The Sylvia is a 2-light wall light built around a brushed gold twin-arm frame that curves upward from a circular backplate, each arm supporting a transparent dome-shaped glass shade. Each dome sits on a cylindrical brass collar and houses a single E14 bulb (sold separately), with the clear glass diffusing light in all directions while remaining visually light.
Designed for hallways, either side of mirrors, flanking artwork, or as symmetrical pairs in living spaces, the Sylvia provides ambient rather than directed light. The 305mm width and 146mm projection suit walls where a compact fitting is needed without overwhelming the space. The twin-arm configuration balances the visual weight across the fitting, making it suitable for narrow hallway runs or above console tables where a single central light would look off-centre.
The brushed finish on the gold frame softens reflections and pairs with warm-toned interiors, brass hardware and timber furniture without the high-gloss appearance of polished brass. The clear glass dome shows the bulb inside, so decorative filament LED bulbs work well here if a visible lamp aesthetic suits the room. The 292mm fitting height positions the light sources at approximately head height when mounted at standard switch height (1200-1400mm from floor).

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Sylvia take?
Each arm takes one E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED E14 candle or golf ball bulbs at 4-6W (equivalent to 25-40W incandescent) in 2700K-3000K for ambient hallway or living room lighting.
Is the glass shade clear or frosted?
The glass is clear, so the bulb inside is visible when lit. Decorative filament LED bulbs work well if a vintage or exposed-lamp aesthetic suits the room. Standard opaque LED bulbs are also compatible.
What projection does it have from the wall?
The fitting projects 146mm from the wall. This makes it suitable for hallways and walls where furniture or passage space needs to be maintained, but it does stand clear of the wall surface rather than sitting flush.
Can it be mounted on either side of a mirror?
Yes. The symmetrical twin-arm design works well as a pair flanking a bathroom or hallway mirror. The 305mm width means each fitting needs approximately 350-400mm of clear wall space horizontally to avoid visual crowding.
