Description

The Swirl is a wall light built around a white-finished resin shell motif that spirals outward from a cylindrical backplate, topped with a rectangular white fabric shade measuring 318mm high by 229mm wide. The resin casting captures the detail of a nautilus-style shell with ridged surface texture and organic spiral form, while the backplate and shade mount provide a clean geometric contrast.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and coastal-themed interiors where decorative wall lighting adds character without occupying floor space, the Swirl provides ambient light through the fabric shade while the shell detail acts as a sculptural accent. The 152mm projection from the wall positions the shade away from the mounting surface, avoiding direct wall glare. The E27 socket accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, allowing control over light temperature and brightness to suit the room.

The white finish on both the resin shell and fabric shade gives the fitting a monochromatic appearance that pairs with white-painted walls, pale wood and light-toned interiors. What bulb does it take?

The Swirl uses a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. For ambient bedroom or hallway lighting, a 6-8W warm white LED (2700K-3000K) gives enough light through the fabric shade without being harsh.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Swirl carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture protection is required.

How is the resin shell cleaned?

Wipe the resin shell with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with plain water. Avoid household sprays, polishes or abrasive cleaners that can dull the white finish or damage the resin surface detail.
