Description

The Swift Glass is an 800mm 6-light chandelier with matt white cast metal arms arranged in two tiers around a central column, each arm terminating in a blown glass bobeche holding an E14 candle bulb. The frame suspends from a twisted velvet-covered chain that conceals the cable run from the ceiling rose to the chandelier body. The chandelier ships without bulbs.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Swift Glass provides ambient candle-style lighting across a room diameter of 4-6m. The six E14 bulbs (sold separately) can be traditional filament candles for a warm glow or LED equivalents for lower running costs. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with compatible E14 dimmable bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer switch.

The blown glass bobeches are individually mouth-blown, so each piece carries slight variation in thickness and form. The matt white paint on the metal arms is applied as a fine powder coat that resists chipping and gives a soft, non-reflective finish under daylight and artificial light. The 470mm body height excludes the chain, which is adjustable on installation to suit ceiling height and room proportions.

The IP20 rating limits the Swift Glass to dry indoor locations only. The 5-year manufacturer warranty from Ideal Lux covers material and manufacturing defects under normal domestic use.

Does the chandelier come with bulbs?

No. The Swift Glass requires six E14 candle bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient dining or living room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The chandelier frame itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 470mm body height plus the adjustable chain length means the chandelier works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above. For dining tables, the bottom of the chandelier typically sits 750-850mm above the table surface.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Swift Glass to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor covered areas where moisture is present.
