Swell 2 Light Bathroom Wall Light - Brushed Brass

The Quoizel Swell is a 2-light bathroom wall light with a brushed brass steel frame supporting two frosted glass shades on a 357mm horizontal bar. Each shade houses a G9 LED bulb (included), providing 3000K warm white light diffused through the frosted glass. The circular backplate mounts directly to the wall, with the twin lights extending 171mm from the mounting surface.

Designed for mounting above bathroom mirrors, the Swell's IP44 rating protects the electrical components against water splashes from all directions, making it suitable for zones 2 and 3 in UK bathroom installations. The 357mm width suits vanity mirrors between 600-900mm wide, positioning the two lights symmetrically either side of centre to reduce facial shadows. The frosted glass prevents glare while the warm 3000K colour temperature flatters skin tones without the clinical harshness of cooler LEDs.

The brushed brass finish shows a subtle directional grain across the metal surface, reducing reflections and fingerprint visibility compared to polished brass. What bathroom zones is the Swell rated for?

The IP44 rating makes the Swell suitable for zones 2 and 3 in UK bathrooms. Zone 2 is the area within 600mm of a basin, bath or shower tray, and zone 3 is the remaining bathroom space outside zone 2. The fitting should not be installed in zones 0 or 1, which require higher IP ratings.

Are the LED bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The Swell uses standard G9 capsule LED bulbs, which are replaceable if they fail. The included 3W 3000K bulbs are available as spares from most lighting retailers if needed in future.

What mirror width does the 357mm light suit?

The 357mm width works best above mirrors between 600-900mm wide, where the twin lights sit symmetrically either side of the mirror's centre line. For wider mirrors, two Swell fittings can be mounted side by side, or a longer bar light may be more appropriate.

Can it be mounted on plasterboard?

The fitting weighs approximately 1.2kg and should be fixed to masonry, blockwork or timber studs using appropriate wall plugs and screws. Plasterboard alone will not provide sufficient load-bearing unless backed by a timber stud or cavity fixing rated for the weight.
