Description

The Swell is a single-light bathroom wall light with a polished chrome backplate and arm supporting a cylindrical frosted glass shade. The fitting carries an IP44 rating for safe use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, and includes a 3W LED G9 bulb at 3000K warm white. The chrome finish and translucent glass combine to provide both direct and diffused light.

Designed for installation either side of a bathroom mirror or above basins, the Swell projects 171mm from the wall and sits 237mm tall, providing enough clearance for typical mirror-side placement without encroaching into the user's space. The G9 bulb sits inside the glass shade, which softens the point-source LED into a more ambient glow. The polished chrome reflects surrounding light, helping to brighten smaller or windowless bathrooms.

The frosted glass shade is a stepped cylinder with decorative banding at the rim and base, giving a classical American bathroom aesthetic that pairs comfortably with both chrome taps and brushed nickel fixtures. The backplate is a circular disc measuring 127mm diameter, large enough to cover most standard junction box footprints. The included LED bulb provides approximately 250 lumens, sufficient for task lighting at a mirror when used in pairs.

Yes. The IP44 rating means the fitting is protected against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower enclosure). Do not install directly above a bath or inside a shower cubicle.

What spacing is needed for mirror-side installation?

When installing two Swell lights either side of a bathroom mirror, position them 600-900mm apart (centre to centre) depending on mirror width. The 171mm projection from the wall means the lights sit clear of most mirror edges when mounted 50-100mm beyond the mirror frame.

Can the bulb be changed to a different colour temperature?

The fitting accepts any standard G9 LED bulb up to 3W. If you prefer cooler or warmer light, you can replace the included 3000K bulb with a different temperature G9 LED, but ensure it does not exceed the 3W maximum rating.
