Description

The Sussex is a 5-light chandelier built around a central column of clear glass and brushed nickel turned elements, with five curved arms radiating from the base of the column, each carrying a white fabric hardback shade over an E14 candle-style fitting. The brushed nickel finish runs across the canopy, chain, column detailing, curved arms and candle holders, while the clear glass inserts in the column and at each socket add vertical visual breaks through the metalwork.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Sussex provides distributed ambient light across a 660mm diameter footprint. The drop is adjustable from 740mm to 2230mm on installation via the 1524mm chain, allowing the chandelier to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or positioned higher in a double-height entrance. Each of the five arms takes a 40W maximum E14 bulb (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white LEDs for softer ambient light or candle-flame filament bulbs for a more traditional aesthetic.

The white fabric shades diffuse the light output from each bulb, softening glare and directing most of the light downward and outward rather than up into the ceiling void. The brushed nickel finish on the metalwork reduces reflections compared to polished chrome or brass, making the chandelier pair comfortably with both warm-toned and cool-toned interiors. The clear glass column segments and candle surrounds add a degree of transparency through the centre of the fitting, preventing it from reading as a solid mass when viewed from below.
