The Surcos is a 100cm circular wall mirror with hand-applied silver leaf detailing that runs in organic, flowing lines across the reflective surface. The silver leaf forms raised, textured channels that contrast with the smooth mirror glass, creating a sculptural effect where the mirror functions as both a reflective surface and a piece of wall art.

Designed for living rooms, hallways, and above console tables, the Surcos works in spaces where a traditional flat mirror would feel too plain and a framed mirror too heavy. The circular form and silver leaf detailing suit contemporary, industrial and neutral-palette interiors where tonal clarity and expressive design are priorities. The 100cm diameter gives the mirror enough presence to anchor a wall without needing to be paired with other decorative elements.

The mirror is built on a solid MDF back that carries the weight of the glass and silver leaf application, totalling 18kg. The silver leaf is applied by hand, so the exact pattern and texture of the flowing lines vary slightly between individual pieces. The 2.4cm depth projects the mirror surface forward from the wall, creating shadow and depth when lit from the side or above.

The Surcos mounts via D-rings or keyhole fixings on the rear MDF back. At 18kg, the mirror requires two wall fixings rated for the weight, ideally into masonry or wall studs rather than plasterboard alone.

Does the silver leaf pattern vary between pieces?

Yes. The silver leaf is applied by hand, so the exact shape and texture of the flowing lines differ slightly between individual mirrors. This is a characteristic of the hand-applied finish, not a defect.

Can it be cleaned?

The mirror glass can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner. The silver leaf detailing should be dusted gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the silver leaf or using abrasive materials that could damage the hand-applied finish.
