Strappa Pendant Light - Grey & Tan Leather with Smoked Glass

The Strappa is a 28cm-wide single pendant light built around an oval grey metal frame lined on its inner edge with stitched tan leather. A smoked glass shade housing a G9 LED bulb hangs from the lower edge of the frame, sitting inside the oval rather than below it. The leather lining runs continuously around the inside of the loop with visible saddle stitching, giving the metalwork a softer, tactile inner face.

Suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and bedside positions, the Strappa works well hung individually as a feature or grouped at varied drops over a longer counter. The 150cm cable allows the pendant to be dropped from ceilings up to around 2.7m and trimmed shorter on installation. The slim profile of the oval frame keeps the fitting visually light despite its 37cm height, so it suits rooms where a solid drum or bowl pendant would feel too heavy.

The combination of grey-painted metal and warm tan leather is unusual for pendant lighting and gives the Strappa a furniture-like quality closer to a saddler's piece than a typical glass shade. The smoked glass diffuser softens the G9 output into a warm 3000K glow without harsh glare, and the bulb itself sits inside a double-layered glass form that hides the filament from direct view. What bulb does the Strappa take?

The pendant takes a single G9 LED bulb at 3000K (warm white). The G9 fitting is a small two-pin capsule base commonly used in decorative pendants. Check the Specification tab for confirmed wattage details before purchasing a replacement bulb.

How long is the cable and can it be shortened?

The cable measures 150cm from canopy to fitting, suiting ceiling heights up to roughly 2.7m. The cable can be trimmed shorter during installation by a qualified electrician to suit lower ceilings or a specific drop above a table or counter.

Is the leather real or synthetic?

The product specification lists the materials as metal and leather. The tan inner lining is stitched into the inside edge of the oval frame and shows the natural grain and stitch detail of a leather trim.

Can it be used over a dining table?

Yes. The 28cm diameter and 37cm height suit small to medium dining tables when hung individually, or two or three Strappas can be hung in a row over a longer table or kitchen island. Aim for around 70-80cm between the underside of the pendant and the table surface.
