Description
The Stephen is a 457mm wide Tiffany-style pendant light with a geometric stained glass shade suspended from a vintage bronze ceiling canopy on a link chain. Three E27 bulbs inside the shade (sold separately) cast warm light through hundreds of individual pieces of hand-cut amber, bisque, earthy green and bronze-toned glass, arranged in a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired linear pattern radiating from the centre.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls, the Stephen's broad inverted dome shape directs light downward while the stained glass diffuses it into a warm, patterned glow. The 1500mm chain is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang 381mm to 1820mm from the ceiling, accommodating both standard 2.4m ceiling heights and taller double-height spaces. A pull-chain switch on the pendant itself provides on/off control without requiring wall switching.
The vintage bronze metalwork has a darkened, aged finish that frames each section of the glass shade and pairs well with oak, walnut and other warm-toned timber furniture common in Arts and Crafts and traditional interiors. Each piece of glass is copper-foiled and soldered by hand in the traditional Tiffany method, so the exact colour distribution and intensity varies between individual shades. At 457mm diameter the Stephen suits dining tables of 1200-1800mm length and works as a standalone focal point over round tables up to 1200mm diameter.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Stephen take?
The pendant takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair Tiffany-style glass shades with warm-white filament LED bulbs between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K, which enhance the amber and bronze tones in the glass without overpowering the pattern.
Can the drop height be adjusted?
Yes. The 1500mm chain is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang between 381mm and 1820mm from the ceiling. Once installed the height is fixed until the fitting is taken down and re-hung.
Is the glass pattern identical on every shade?
No. Each shade is hand-assembled using copper foil and solder in the traditional Tiffany method, so the exact positioning of individual glass pieces and the intensity of colour tones varies between shades. This is a characteristic of handmade stained glass, not a defect.
Does the pull-chain switch control all three bulbs?
Yes. The pull-chain switch on the pendant body controls all three E27 sockets together. There is no individual bulb control or dimming function built into the fitting.
