Description
The Stephen is a two-light Tiffany table lamp with a hand-crafted glass shade composed of amber, bisque and earthy green glass pieces arranged in a geometric pattern inspired by Arts & Crafts architecture. The shade measures 406mm square at the base and sits on a vintage bronze resin and metal base standing 584mm tall. Each of the two E27 sockets inside the shade takes a bulb up to 60W (sold separately), controlled by individual pull chains hanging from the shade rim.
Designed for side tables, console tables and desks in living rooms, bedrooms and home offices, the Stephen provides ambient task light filtered through coloured glass. The geometric pattern references Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie School designs, with symmetrical lines and stepped borders that cast patterned shadows when lit. The dual-bulb configuration allows one or both bulbs to be switched on depending on the light level needed.
The vintage bronze finish on the base has a dark patina with warm undertones that echo the amber and bisque tones in the glass. The base is made from cast resin with a metal stem connecting to the shade, giving the lamp a substantial weight that keeps it stable on surfaces without needing a large footprint. The glass shade is built using traditional copper-foil Tiffany construction, where each piece of cut glass is wrapped in copper foil, soldered at the seams, and patinated to match the bronze base.
The amber, bisque and green glass palette produces warm light when lit, shifting from cool daylight tones (green and pale bisque visible) to richer amber and rust tones under incandescent or warm LED bulbs. The stepped geometric borders at the top and bottom of the shade create defined bands of darker glass that frame the central pattern and add visual weight to the shade's profile.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The lamp has two E27 (Edison screw) sockets, each rated for bulbs up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K to match the amber tones in the glass.
How are the two bulbs controlled?
Each bulb has its own pull chain hanging from the shade rim. You can switch on one bulb for lower light levels or both for brighter output, giving flexibility depending on the time of day and task.
Is the shade made from real Tiffany glass?
The shade is built using traditional Tiffany copper-foil construction, where individual pieces of cut glass are wrapped in copper foil and soldered together. This is the same method used in original Tiffany Studios lamps and produces the characteristic seam lines visible in the image.
What surfaces can it sit on without tipping?
The vintage bronze base has a footprint of 406mm square and is made from weighted resin and metal. It sits stably on side tables, console tables and desks without needing additional ballast, though the pull chains should be operated gently to avoid tipping on very narrow surfaces.
