Description

The Stellar is a white wall light with two GU10 bulb fittings set in a rectangular column of plated metal finished in matt white paint. The column projects 300mm from the wall and casts light both upwards and downwards through open apertures at the top and base, with the body itself acting as a baffle between the two light sources.

Designed for hallways, landings, bedroom walls and living room accent positions, the Stellar provides ambient and directional light without glare. The upward and downward wash highlights ceiling and floor surfaces while the 300mm projection prevents the fitting from sitting flush to the wall, allowing it to function as a shallow sconce. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations away from direct moisture.

The matt white finish pairs cleanly with white and light-toned walls in modern, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors, and the rectangular form gives a geometric counterpoint to curved furniture and soft furnishings. Each GU10 fitting accepts bulbs up to the wattage specified in the table below (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible GU10 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer.

The Stellar takes two GU10 bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with warm-white LED GU10 bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting. The maximum wattage per bulb depends on the fitting's heat rating — refer to the instruction leaflet included with the product.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The dimmer must be rated for LED loads. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture and must only be installed in dry indoor locations away from direct water contact.

How is it mounted?

The Stellar mounts to a standard wall using the backplate and fixings supplied. Wiring connects to the mains via a junction box or terminal block concealed behind the backplate. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.
