Starbeam 12 Light Glass Chandelier - Chrome

The Starbeam is a 1.2m diameter glass chandelier with twelve E14 bulb holders arranged on curved transparent glass arms radiating from a central polished chrome frame. Each arm terminates in a flared glass sconce cup that holds the bulb holder, with chrome metal detailing at the joints where the glass meets the central column. The suspension chain is covered in a grey velvet sleeve that conceals the cable run from ceiling rose to canopy.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Starbeam works in both traditional interiors where it references Venetian Murano chandeliers and contemporary spaces where the transparent glass and polished chrome read as clean and architectural. The 845mm drop from ceiling rose to the base of the central column positions the light source at approximately 1.9-2m above floor level in a standard 2.7m room, leaving the arms themselves in the upper third of the visual field. The 1.2m span suits rooms of 5m width or larger without the arms dominating wall-to-wall.

The glass components are hand-blown, so each arm shows slight variation in wall thickness and the flare angle of the sconce cups. The transparent glass allows the E14 bulbs to be visible when lit, making bulb choice part of the aesthetic — warm filament-style LEDs cast a golden glow through the glass, while clear candle bulbs give a sharper, more defined light pattern. The polished chrome frame reflects both daylight and bulb light, amplifying brightness in the room. The velvet chain cover softens the industrial ceiling fixing and adds a textile element that balances the hard surfaces of glass and metal.

What bulbs does the Starbeam take?

The chandelier takes twelve E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, sold separately. Because the bulbs are visible through the transparent glass, most users choose warm-white filament-style LED candle bulbs (2700K-3000K, 4-6W per bulb) to give a traditional chandelier appearance, or clear LED candle bulbs for a sharper, more contemporary look.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The chandelier is compatible with standard dimmer switches when paired with dimmable E14 LED bulbs. Check that your chosen bulbs are rated as dimmable before installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 845mm drop suits ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. In rooms with 2.4m ceilings the chandelier can still be fitted but will sit lower in the visual field, making it more dominant. The chain can be shortened during installation to reduce the overall drop if needed.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool fully. Wipe the glass arms and sconce cups with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid spraying glass cleaner directly onto the chandelier as it may drip into the bulb holders or onto the chrome frame.
