Description
The St Louis is a 325mm outdoor wall lantern in weathered bronze finish with hand-blown clear glass and a single E27 socket. The die-cast metal frame combines a curved scroll arm, beaded detail along the canopy edge, and a glass housing shaped as an inverted bell with a flat top cap. The weathered bronze finish has deliberately uneven tonal variation across the surface, replicating the patina of aged outdoor metalwork.
Designed for porches, front entrances, patio walls and garage exteriors, the fitting mounts onto a standard UK outdoor back box and projects 215mm from the wall surface when fitted. The IP44 rating protects the internal wiring against rain and dust ingress, allowing year-round outdoor use in exposed positions. The clear hand-blown glass diffuses the bulb without blocking too much light output, making it suitable for functional entrance lighting as well as decorative accent use.
The 170mm width and 325mm height make this the smaller variant in the St Louis range, suited to tighter wall spaces beside narrow doorways or between windows. The die-cast metal construction gives the lantern a solid 2.1kg presence that feels substantial when mounted, while the scroll arm and beaded detailing reference traditional early-1900s American outdoor lighting. The weathered bronze pairs with red brick, painted render, timber cladding and stone equally well.

Frequently Asked
What IP rating does it carry?
The lantern is rated IP44, protecting against solid objects over 1mm and water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed outdoor walls, porches and covered patios that see direct rain.
What bulb does it take?
It takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to match the traditional aesthetic.
How does the weathered bronze finish hold up outdoors?
The weathered bronze is a factory-applied finish designed to look aged from the outset. Further natural weathering and darkening will occur over time when exposed to the elements, which is expected and part of the character of the material.
What's the difference between the small and standard St Louis wall lights?
This is the small variant at 325mm height. The standard St Louis wall light is taller and wider, suited to larger wall expanses and double-height porches. Use the small variant for tighter spaces beside narrow doorways or between windows.
