Description
The Maytoni DL093 is a 95mm square recessed downlight with a tiltable LED head, delivering 10W at 3000K warm white through an integrated LED. The fitting sits flush with the ceiling when installed, with a black aluminium surround framing the inner reflector assembly which can be angled to direct light onto walls, artwork, or specific areas of a room rather than straight down.
Designed for residential and commercial installation, the downlight suits hallways, retail display areas, living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens where directed accent lighting is needed. The tilt mechanism allows the beam to be adjusted after installation without removing the fitting, making it useful for highlighting features or creating wall-wash effects. The 95mm aperture requires a ceiling void depth of at least 75mm to accommodate the housing.
The black aluminium construction gives a defined edge against white or light-coloured ceilings, creating a visible border rather than blending in. The IP20 rating limits this fitting to dry indoor areas only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor soffits. The integrated LED operates on AC 160-265V mains supply, making it compatible with standard UK wiring without requiring a separate driver or transformer.

Frequently Asked
Can the downlight be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means this fitting is only suitable for dry indoor areas. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher depending on the zone. For bathroom downlights, see the dedicated bathroom lighting section at Niori.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, which equates to 10-15 years at typical residential usage levels before the entire fitting would need replacing.
What ceiling void depth is required?
The fitting is 75mm deep, so a ceiling void of at least 75mm is needed to accommodate the housing above the plasterboard or ceiling surface. If the void is shallower, this fitting will not fit.
Can the tilt be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The inner reflector and LED assembly can be tilted on its axis after the fitting is installed and powered, allowing the beam direction to be adjusted without removing the downlight from the ceiling.
