Description
The Spring is a compact wall light built around a hand-blown clear glass cone with vertical ribbing that runs from the narrow base to the flared rim. The glass sits in a chrome mounting plate that fixes to the wall, with one E14 bulb sitting inside the cone. The ribbed texture refracts light outwards and downwards, turning the glass itself into the diffuser rather than just a decorative cover.
Designed for hallways, bedside positions, compact bathrooms (IP20 rated for zones outside splash areas), and as accent lighting in living spaces, the Spring works where full ambient lighting is not needed but directional wash light or decorative glow is. The 245mm width and 220mm projection suit narrower walls and alcoves where larger fittings would overwhelm the space. The chrome finish pairs with both modern and traditional hardware and sits comfortably alongside polished or brushed nickel, stainless steel and pewter tones.
The clear glass cone is mouth-blown and hand-worked, so each piece shows slight variation in the depth and spacing of the vertical ribs depending on how the glass cooled. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and E14 LED or halogen bulb, allowing the light level to be adjusted for reading, ambient mood, or low-level night lighting. The five-year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship from Ideal Lux Italy.

Frequently Asked
Does it come with a bulb?
No. The fitting takes one E14 small screw bulb (often called SES or small Edison screw) up to the maximum wattage specified by Ideal Lux. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED candle or golf ball bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when fitted with a dimmable E14 bulb and paired with a compatible wall dimmer. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer model — LED bulbs typically require an LED-rated trailing-edge dimmer rather than an older leading-edge type.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The IP20 rating means it is suitable for bathrooms outside direct splash zones — typically zone 3 (more than 600mm from a bath or shower). It cannot be installed within zones 0, 1 or 2 where water contact is likely.
How is the glass cleaned?
The ribbed surface collects dust in the grooves. Wipe gently with a soft dry microfibre cloth when the bulb is off and cool. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome mounting plate or getting water into the bulb holder.
