Description
The Spin is a 10.8cm cylindrical outdoor spotlight with a 12W integrated LED delivering 1050 lumens at 3000K, housed in a graphite powder-coated metal body with a glass diffuser at the base. The luminous element rotates a full 360° on its vertical axis, allowing the downward beam to be directed across patios, driveways, garden beds or architectural features without repositioning the entire fitting.
Designed for surface mounting on external walls, soffits, pergola beams and garage ceilings, the Spin carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust ingress and water spray from any direction. The compact 10.8cm diameter keeps the fitting unobtrusive on smaller walls while the 1050-lumen output provides functional illumination over a 2-3m spread, depending on mounting height. The 3000K warm white colour temperature softens external spaces without the clinical cast of cooler LEDs.
The metal body is powder-coated in a dark graphite finish that weathers well in coastal and urban environments, resisting UV degradation and surface corrosion better than painted aluminium. The glass diffuser is impact-resistant borosilicate, sealed against the metal housing with a gasket to maintain the IP54 barrier. The CRI of 80 renders garden planting, brickwork and timber decking with reasonable colour accuracy, though not to the higher CRI standards of indoor decorative lighting.
The Spin runs on 110-240V AC mains voltage and is not dimmable. The LED driver is integrated into the fitting and not user-serviceable. Maytoni backs the fitting with a 3-year manufacturer warranty covering LED failure and housing defects.

Frequently Asked
Is the Spin suitable for coastal or high-salt environments?
The IP54 rating and powder-coated graphite finish provide good resistance to salt spray and moisture, but coastal installations within 100m of the sea benefit from periodic rinsing with fresh water to prevent salt build-up on the glass diffuser and metal surfaces. The fitting is not rated IP65 or IP67, so direct wave exposure or submersion is not suitable.
Can the light head be tilted as well as rotated?
The luminous element rotates 360° horizontally but does not tilt. The light projects downward from the base of the cylinder at a fixed angle. For angled projection, the entire fitting would need to be mounted on a tilted surface or bracket.
Is the LED dimmable?
No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The output is fixed at 1050 lumens when powered.
What mounting surface is required?
The Spin mounts to any solid external wall, soffit, beam or ceiling via the base plate. Two fixing screws are required (not supplied). The base plate is 10.8cm diameter, so the mounting surface should be flat across at least that area. Wiring enters through the base plate; consult the product manual for the specific cable entry point and back box requirements if surface-mounting on brick or render.
