Description
The Spin is a 10.8cm diameter surface-mounted LED downlight with a white powder-coated metal housing, a clear glass diffuser and an integrated 12W 3000K LED delivering 1050 lumens. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor locations including covered terraces, porch ceilings, loggia soffits and carport overhangs.
Designed for ceiling or soffit mounting where recessing is not possible or desired, the Spin fixes directly to the surface via two mounting screws visible at the top of the housing. The 360° rotating inner can allows the light direction to be adjusted after installation, enabling the downlight to function as an accent spotlight targeting garden features, architectural details or doorways, or to be aimed straight down for general outdoor task lighting. The cylindrical housing sits 10.8cm tall when mounted, giving a low-profile presence that suits modern rendered finishes and timber soffits alike.
The white powder-coated metal construction resists corrosion in typical UK coastal and suburban environments better than unpainted aluminium, while the clear glass lens is replaceable if damaged. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light with a CRI of 80, rendering garden planting, timber decking and brickwork in natural tones. The AC 110-240V input accepts UK mains voltage and eliminates the need for a separate LED driver in most installations.

Frequently Asked
Is the Spin suitable for fully exposed outdoor locations?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashing, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor areas like covered porches, terrace ceilings and carport soffits. It is not rated for direct rain exposure or full-weather mounting on open walls.
Can the light direction be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The inner housing rotates 360°, allowing you to direct the light beam where needed after the unit is fixed to the ceiling or soffit. This makes it useful both as a downlight and as an accent spotlight for highlighting garden features.
Does the LED need replacing?
The LED is integrated into the housing and is not user-replaceable. At 12W and typical domestic usage of 3-4 hours per evening, the LED should deliver 20,000+ hours of operation before significant dimming occurs.
What fixing method is used?
The Spin mounts to the ceiling or soffit via two screws visible at the top of the white housing. A standard UK-wired ceiling rose or junction box provides the electrical connection. The light does not require a separate LED driver in most installations due to the AC 110-240V input.
