Description
The Sphere is a compact LED wall light built around a spherical polycarbonate globe with a textured inner surface, mounted on a glossy chrome backplate and articulated arm. The integrated 4.8W 3000K LED sits inside the globe, and the textured polycarbonate diffuses the light into a soft, even 336-lumen output. The chrome arm projects 17.5cm from the wall, positioning the 12cm-wide globe far enough forward to cast light onto adjacent surfaces without the backplate shadowing the output.
Designed for hallways, bedroom bedsides, bathroom mirrors and corridor installations, the Sphere works as a single accent or in symmetrical pairs. The 12cm globe diameter keeps the visual footprint small on narrow walls, while the articulated arm allows the light to be angled slightly during fitting to direct output where needed. The IP20 rating restricts the Sphere to dry indoor areas only — it cannot be used in bathrooms zone 1 or 2, or outdoors.
The glossy chrome finish on the metal components provides high reflectivity under daylight and amplifies the warm glow of the 3000K LED when lit. The polycarbonate globe weighs significantly less than glass, bringing the total fitting weight to 1kg and allowing installation on plasterboard walls with standard cavity fixings. The textured finish on the inside of the globe hides the LED module from direct view and prevents glare when the light is mounted at eye level.

Frequently Asked
Is the Sphere dimmable?
The integrated 4.8W LED is not dimmable. The light outputs a fixed 336 lumens at 3000K when switched on. If dimming is required, consider installing the Sphere on a switched circuit alongside other dimmable lighting sources.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating restricts the Sphere to dry indoor areas only. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones 1 or 2 where water spray or steam is present. It can be used in bathrooms outside the regulated zones, typically more than 60cm from a basin or bath edge.
How far does the light project from the wall?
The articulated chrome arm projects 17.5cm from the wall to the centre of the 12cm globe. The total projection from wall to the furthest point of the globe is approximately 23.5cm. This forward position prevents the backplate from shadowing the light output.
Can the arm be angled during installation?
The arm has a single pivot point at the backplate connection, allowing minor adjustment of the globe angle during fitting. This lets you direct the light slightly upward or downward depending on mounting height and the surface you want to illuminate.
