Description

This black wooden storage box brings a little night-sky magic to a dressing table or shelf, printed all over in crisp white. Across the lid, the words Spells and Potions sit inside a bright sunburst above a pair of open hands, with a moth and a butterfly to either side and a scatter of stars and crescent moons, all framed by a fine dotted border. More crescent moons in sunbursts and butterflies carry the design around the sides, and a soft pale grey tassel hangs from the front of the lid. It measures 30cm wide, 18.5cm deep and 12.5cm tall.

Lift the lid and the inside is laid out for small things: three little compartments down one side and a long one beside them, each with its own white print. Two stars and a crescent moon mark the small sections, and the long one carries the words TRUST in your MAGIC between a sunburst and two open hands. The small compartments suit rings and earrings, while the long one takes a necklace, a bracelet or a few folded notes. On a dressing table, a bedside table or a bedroom shelf it keeps trinkets and keepsakes together, and at 30cm wide it sits neatly beside a mirror without taking over.

The box is made from wood with a black finish, and the hinged lid stays attached as you open it, with the tassel at the front giving you something to lift it by. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe away any marks with a cloth that is only lightly damp, then dry it straight away. We think it looks best left out where its moons and stars can be seen, and with its printed lid and tasselled front it makes an easy gift to give.
