How is the cable attached to the ceiling?

The spherical end-stop sits above the ceiling fixing (typically a hook, eyelet or ceiling rose with a suspension point), preventing the cable from pulling through. The pendant fitting hangs from the cable at the desired drop, with the cable either threaded through the pendant rod or run alongside the electrical flex and secured at the light fitting end.

Is the cable suitable for outdoor use?
