Description
The Sparklite is a 12 light chandelier built around a central matt black column with three tiers of horizontal arms, each arm capped with a brass socket and white blown glass globe. The 710mm diameter frame positions four globes on each tier, creating a layered sphere of light when all twelve G9 bulbs are fitted (sold separately).
Designed for dining rooms, open-plan living areas and double-height entrance halls, the Sparklite works where ceiling heights exceed 2.5m and where a strong central light source is needed above a table or seating area. The 590mm height of the fitting itself means the drop from ceiling rose to the base of the lowest tier sits around 800-900mm once suspension cable is added, requiring adequate headroom clearance. Each G9 socket takes a standard capsule bulb, typically 3-5W LED or up to 40W halogen.
The white blown glass globes are acid-etched on the inside surface to diffuse the light softly and reduce direct glare from the bulbs, while the brass sockets and end caps provide warm metallic accents against the matt black framework. The combination of black metal, brass detailing and white glass reads as mid-century modern or contemporary rather than traditional chandelier styling. The matt black finish absorbs ambient light during the day, giving the fitting a low visual weight when switched off.
The Sparklite carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor locations only. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen — LED G9 bulbs must be marked as dimmable to work with dimmer switches, while halogen G9s are inherently dimmable. From Ideal Lux, Italy.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Sparklite take?
Each of the 12 arms takes a G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). Most users fit 3-5W LED G9 bulbs for energy efficiency, though the fitting can handle up to 40W halogen G9s if higher output is needed. Total combined wattage across all 12 bulbs should not exceed 480W.
Is it suitable for sloped or vaulted ceilings?
The Sparklite is designed for horizontal suspension from a standard ceiling rose. On sloped ceilings the chandelier will hang at an angle unless a ceiling rose adapter or sloped ceiling canopy is used to level the suspension point.
What ceiling height is recommended?
The fitting itself is 590mm tall. When suspended, the total drop from ceiling to the base of the lowest tier is typically 800-900mm depending on cable length. For safe headroom clearance above a dining table, ceiling heights of 2.5m or more are recommended.
Can the Sparklite be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, but bulb choice matters. Halogen G9 bulbs are inherently dimmable. LED G9 bulbs must be labelled as dimmable to work with dimmer switches — non-dimmable LEDs will flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer circuit.
