Description

The Sparkeon is a 2-light bar spotlight built from die-cast aluminium with a matt black powder-coated finish. Two cylindrical spotlight heads pivot independently on ball joints, each housing a GU10 fitting (bulbs sold separately). The 320mm-long rectangular backplate mounts to either ceiling or wall surfaces using the integrated fixing points.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail spaces and living rooms where directed task lighting is needed, the Sparkeon allows each head to be aimed at different surfaces — one at a worktop, the other at a wall, or both converging on a single focal point. The GU10 fittings accept standard LED, halogen or CFL bulbs up to 50W each, and the fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible bulbs and a suitable GU10 dimmer switch.

The die-cast aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at approximately 0.6kg while providing enough structural rigidity for the ball joints to hold position under repeated adjustment. The black powder coating resists scratching and fingerprints better than painted finishes. The 125mm projection from the wall or ceiling gives clearance for the spotlight heads to rotate without obstruction, and the IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior spaces only.

What bulbs does the Sparkeon take?

Each head takes one GU10 bulb up to 50W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 5-7W GU10 LED bulbs in 3000K-4000K for task lighting in kitchens and offices.

Can the spotlight heads be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each cylindrical head rotates and tilts on a ball joint, allowing you to aim the light at different surfaces or adjust the beam direction as room layout changes. The joints hold position once set.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming, but dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you install. Use dimmable GU10 LEDs paired with a GU10-compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs or incompatible dimmers will cause flickering.

Can it be mounted on the wall or ceiling?

Both. The rectangular backplate has fixing points for either ceiling or wall mounting. When ceiling-mounted the heads aim downwards; when wall-mounted they typically aim across the room or down onto surfaces below.
