Description

The Sparkeon is a 760mm ceiling spotlight bar fitted with four adjustable GU10 lamp holders, each mounted on individual rotating and tilting joints. The die-cast aluminium frame is powder-coated in white and mounts directly to a ceiling rose or junction box, with the backplate concealing the cable entry point. Each of the four cylindrical lamp heads rotates 350° and tilts approximately 90°, allowing light to be directed onto different wall sections, worktops, or artwork from a single fixed ceiling position.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, hallways and retail spaces where directed task lighting is needed without individual downlight cutouts, the Sparkeon suits both new installations and retrofit projects. The 760mm bar length typically covers a 2-3m run of kitchen worktop or a gallery wall section when mounted centrally. The white finish pairs with contemporary white or light-toned ceilings and blends into the background when not lit, unlike darker metallic spotlight bars that create visual weight overhead.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides a solid feel compared to pressed-steel spotlight bars, and the powder-coated finish resists chipping and corrosion in dry indoor environments. Each lamp head accepts a standard GU10 bulb (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose light temperature, beam angle and wattage depending on the application. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces only — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor locations. Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces only. Bathrooms require IP44 minimum for zones 2 and 3, and IP65 for zones 0 and 1. The Sparkeon is suitable for kitchens, hallways, living rooms and offices.

How is the bar mounted?

The rectangular backplate fixes to a ceiling rose or junction box using two screws, with the mains cable entering through a central knock-out on the rear. The bar then clips or screws onto the backplate, concealing the cable entry. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
