Sparka-1 Outdoor Wall Light - White

The Sparka-1 is a compact white aluminium outdoor wall light with a single G9 bulb fitting behind a transparent tempered glass diffuser. The 100mm square body projects 90mm from the wall and casts light downward onto paths, steps and entryways. The powder-coated aluminium housing carries an IP44 rating, protecting the electrical components from rain and airborne dust in exposed outdoor positions.

Designed for residential entryways, porch sides, garden walls and patio mounting, the Sparka-1 provides functional task lighting where directional visibility is needed after dark. The tempered glass diffuser sits flush with the front face of the fitting, allowing the G9 bulb inside to cast clear, undiffused light below. The fitting mounts directly onto exterior walls using standard fixings, with cable entry through the rear plate.

The white powder-coated finish resists UV degradation and holds colour in direct sunlight over time. The aluminium construction keeps weight low while maintaining structural rigidity in wind and temperature fluctuation. The G9 socket accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to the rated wattage (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 bulbs and a suitable outdoor dimmer switch. The 5-year warranty covers manufacturing defects and finish degradation.

What does the IP44 rating mean?

IP44 means the fitting is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm (including dust and small insects) and water splashes from any direction. It can be mounted on exposed exterior walls where it may be hit by rain but should not be positioned where it will be submerged or subject to high-pressure water jets.

What bulb does it take?

The Sparka-1 takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to the rated wattage shown in the Specification table. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for entryway and path lighting.

Is it genuinely dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming, but dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you install. G9 LED bulbs vary widely in dimmer compatibility, so check the bulb packaging confirms it works with your dimmer model before pairing.

Can it be mounted on a wall under a soffit or overhang?

Yes. The IP44 rating is adequate for partially sheltered positions under eaves, porch overhangs or balcony soffits. Full exposure to driving rain and direct weather is also acceptable given the rating.
