Sparka-1 Outdoor Wall Light - Brown

The Sparka-1 is a 100mm cube-form outdoor wall light finished in brown powder-coated aluminium with a transparent tempered glass diffuser on the downward-facing aperture. The IP44 rating protects the internal G9 lamp holder from moisture ingress and dust, making it suitable for installation on exterior walls, under eaves, in covered porches and alongside garage doors.

Designed for close-to-wall mounting on entrance walls, pathways and garden boundaries, the 90mm projection keeps the fitting compact against the wall surface. The downward light throw from the G9 bulb (sold separately) creates a pool of light at ground level, illuminating steps, door thresholds and pathway edges without glare at eye level. The brown finish sits comfortably against timber cladding, rendered walls in earth tones, and brick facades.

The powder-coated aluminium body resists corrosion from rain and coastal air better than painted steel alternatives. The tempered glass diffuser is impact-resistant and cleanable with standard glass cleaner. The G9 fitting accepts LED, halogen or capsule bulbs up to the maximum wattage listed in the specification table, and is compatible with dimmer switches when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and appropriate external dimming hardware.

What does the IP44 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP44 provides protection against splashing water from any direction and dust ingress that could interfere with operation. The Sparka-1 can be installed on exposed exterior walls, but performs best under eaves or porch overhangs where it is not subject to direct driving rain.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for pathway and entrance lighting. Check the specification table for the maximum wattage the fitting supports.

Can it be mounted horizontally or vertically?

The Sparka-1 is designed for vertical wall mounting with the glass diffuser facing downwards. Mounting it in other orientations may affect the IP rating and light distribution pattern.

How is the brown finish maintained?

The powder-coated aluminium requires minimal maintenance. Wipe the body with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. The tempered glass diffuser can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the powder coating.
