Description

The Sparion is a 15mm diameter brass cable holder designed to grip and support pendant light cable runs along ceilings or down walls. The cylindrical body features a side-entry slot that allows the cable to be pressed into the grip without threading, and the two-piece construction tightens around the cable to hold it securely in position without damaging the insulation.

Used primarily in commercial lighting installations, galleries, and residential settings where pendant cables need to be routed along exposed ceilings or sloped surfaces, the holder prevents cable sag and keeps runs visually clean. The 15mm diameter suits standard pendant flex between 5-8mm thick, and multiple holders can be spaced along a cable run to maintain alignment. The brass body is threaded internally to accept a standard ceiling hook or wall fixing, allowing the holder to be mounted at any point along the cable path.

The brushed brass finish shows fine circular machining lines that soften reflections and pair well with brass pendant canopies, brass chain suspension systems, and warm-toned interiors. The solid brass construction gives the holder a 45-50g weight per unit, providing enough mass to resist cable pull without requiring additional anchoring once fixed to a sound ceiling surface. The side-entry design means cables can be added or removed without dismantling the entire pendant installation.

What cable thickness does it suit?

The 15mm internal diameter accommodates standard pendant flex between 5mm and 8mm thick. Thicker cables may not fit comfortably, while very thin cables may not grip securely.

How is it mounted?

The holder has an internal thread that accepts a standard ceiling hook or wall fixing. Once the fixing is screwed into the ceiling or wall surface, the holder threads onto it and the cable is pressed into the side-entry slot.

Can it be used on sloped ceilings?

Yes. The holder grips the cable at a fixed point, so it works on sloped, vaulted or horizontal surfaces. Multiple holders spaced along a cable run will follow the ceiling profile and prevent sag.

Does it damage the cable insulation?
