Description

The Spar is a single pendant light built from flat metal panels arranged into a faceted polyhedral shade, finished in matt white on the outside and gold-mirror on the inside. Each panel is fixed to its neighbours with exposed brass-tone screws at the corners, leaving a fine dark seam between facets. A single E27 lamp holder sits at the centre of the shade, suspended from a slim brass-finish drop rod and ceiling canopy.

At 15.5cm in diameter and 16.5cm tall, the Spar is a compact pendant suited to ceilings of 2.4m or higher and works well in small kitchens, bedrooms, hallways and reading nooks. The 150cm cable allows the drop to be set at the right height during installation, typically 700-800mm above a dining table or 600-900mm above a kitchen worktop. The scale also makes the Spar a strong candidate for clustered arrangements of three or five pendants over an island or stairwell.

The mirrored gold interior is the defining feature once the lamp is switched on: the inner surfaces reflect the bulb between facets, producing a warm directional glow with multiple highlights rather than a single diffused field. Pairing the fitting with an E27 GLS filament bulb (sold separately) emphasises this effect, as the visible filament is reflected across the gold panels. The matt white exterior keeps the fitting visually quiet when unlit, so it reads as a small geometric form rather than a bright object.

The Spar uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. An E27 GLS filament bulb is recommended, as the visible filament is reflected across the gold inner panels and reinforces the geometric light pattern. Maximum wattage should be checked against the lamp holder rating before fitting.

Can multiple Spar pendants be clustered together?

Yes. The compact 15.5cm diameter and 150cm cable make the Spar well suited to clustered arrangements at staggered drop heights over kitchen islands, dining tables and stairwells. Each pendant requires its own ceiling fixing point and feed.

How is the drop height adjusted?

The 150cm cable is shortened on installation to set the final drop. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface; over a kitchen island, 600-900mm. Adjustment should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Is the Spar suitable for bathrooms?

No IP rating is specified for this fitting, so the Spar is intended for general indoor use only and should not be installed within bathroom zones. Suitable locations include living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens (away from direct steam) and hallways.
