Description
The Spar is a faceted single pendant light built from triangular and square metal panels assembled into an icosahedron-style polyhedron, finished matt black on the outer faces and gold-plated on the inner surfaces. A single E27 lamp holder sits at the centre on a brushed gold stem, and the panels are bolted at each corner with exposed gold fixings that double as visual detail. The shade measures 15.5cm in diameter by 16.5cm in height.
The geometric form suits kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and entrance halls in modern, industrial and mid-century interiors. The 150cm cable allows the pendant to be hung at a range of drops, and the compact 15.5cm shade makes it well-suited to clustering in groups of three or five at staggered heights above a longer dining table or kitchen run. Used singly, it works above a side table, reading nook or stairwell.
Light behaviour is the defining feature: the black outer panels block direct glare from the sides, while the gold-plated interior reflects the bulb output back through the open triangular gaps between panels, throwing warm patterned light onto surrounding surfaces. The effect changes with the bulb chosen — a clear filament E27 produces sharper light patterns through the gaps, while a frosted bulb softens the reflections into a more diffuse glow. The metal construction and bolted-panel assembly give the fitting a substantial industrial character without the bulk of a larger shade.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Spar take?
The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A clear E27 GLS filament bulb suits the design well, producing sharper patterns of light through the open panel gaps. A frosted or opal bulb softens the effect into a more diffuse warm glow.
Can the cable be shortened on installation?
Yes. The 150cm cable can be shortened by a competent electrician during installation to set the drop appropriate to the ceiling height and intended position above a table or worktop.
Can the Spar be installed in a cluster?
The compact 15.5cm shade and 150cm cable make the Spar well-suited to cluster installations. Groups of three or five hung at staggered heights work over longer dining tables or kitchen islands. Each pendant is wired individually, so a multi-outlet ceiling plate or junction is needed.
Is the gold interior plated or painted?
The inner faces of the panels are gold-plated metal, which gives the reflective quality that bounces warm light back through the open triangular gaps. The outer faces carry a matt black finish on the same metal panels.
