Description

The Soul is a 25cm table lamp built from two contrasting spheres: a large opal white glass globe set against a smaller polished copper metal ball that acts as both counterweight and base. A single G9 lamp sits inside the glass shade, casting soft diffused light through the frosted opal surface. The black fabric-style cable exits the copper sphere and runs 150cm to a standard UK plug.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and home office desks, the Soul works as accent lighting rather than a primary task light. The 25cm diameter shade gives a soft pool of glow suited to reading in low ambient light, evening television viewing or layered bedroom lighting alongside a ceiling fitting. The lamp sits flat on its copper sphere, which keeps the visual weight low and stops the glass globe rolling.

The opal glass is finished to a uniform matt translucency, so the G9 filament is concealed when lit and only the diffused glow shows through. The copper sphere is finished in a high-polish lacquered copper that picks up reflections from surrounding surfaces and warms cooler interiors. With a 25cm height and 25cm diameter, the Soul fits comfortably on bedside tables of 40cm or wider without overwhelming the surface.

What bulb does it take?

The Soul takes a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). G9 LED bulbs in warm white 2700K-3000K are recommended for the softest diffused glow through the opal glass. Check the bulb's maximum wattage rating before fitting.

Is it dimmable?

The lamp uses a standard inline switch on the cable. Dimmability depends on the G9 bulb chosen and the dimmer being used. Pair a dimmable G9 LED with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer if dimming is required.

How long is the cable?

The cable measures 150cm from the copper base to the plug, giving flexibility for bedside tables, sideboards and desks set away from a wall socket.

Does the glass shade come off for bulb changes?

Yes. The opal glass globe lifts away from the copper sphere base to give access to the G9 lamp holder for bulb changes. Always isolate at the wall before changing the bulb.
