Description

The Sonnet is a 620mm crystal chandelier with a gold-finish metal frame supporting six E14 bulb holders, each surrounded by cut crystal pendants in octagonal and teardrop shapes. The metal arms extend from a central column in a classical candlestick arrangement, with decorative casting at the junction points and beaded detail along the arms. A velvet cover wraps the suspension chain from canopy to chandelier body.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and sitting rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the chandelier provides both ambient light through the six bulbs (sold separately) and decorative sparkle through the crystal drops. The 620mm diameter suits tables of 1.4-1.8m length or open hallway spaces of 3-4m square. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light levels to be adjusted for dining or entertaining.

The gold finish on the metal frame is applied over a zinc alloy casting, giving the chandelier a warm tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass depending on ambient light. The cut crystal pendants are faceted to catch and refract light at multiple angles, creating movement and sparkle as the chandelier sways gently on its chain. The velvet chain cover runs from the ceiling rose down to the chandelier canopy, concealing the cable and adding a softer visual line than an exposed metal chain would provide.

The chandelier carries an IP20 rating, restricting it to dry indoor use only. Total drop from ceiling to base including chain is adjustable on installation, with the chandelier body itself measuring 540mm from canopy to lowest crystal pendant. Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal pendant individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but dry immediately and avoid soaking the metal fittings or getting moisture into the bulb holders.
