Description
The Sonata is a 150mm handblown glass pendant with a copper-tinted finish, suspended on a black fabric cable from a polished copper ceiling rose. The glass shade is formed in a stacked hourglass profile, two bulbous sections separated by a pinched waist, with the E27 lampholder sitting inside the upper chamber. When lit, the copper tinting reflects warm amber tones through the glass, intensifying around the bulb and softening towards the edges.
Designed for use over kitchen islands, in dining rooms, or as clustered pendant groups in taller entrance halls, the Sonata suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The drop is adjustable between 535mm and 1500mm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 600-700mm above a worktop or dining table depending on the room. The compact 150mm diameter means multiple Sonata pendants can be grouped without crowding. Three in a row at 400-500mm spacing works for a standard kitchen island of 1800-2000mm length.
Each glass shade is handblown, so minor variations in the copper tinting depth, bubble patterns and the exact curve of the hourglass profile occur between individual pieces. The polished copper ceiling rose and suspension hardware weigh 1.7kg combined, giving the pendant enough mass to hang straight on the fabric cable without twisting. The E27 fitting accepts any standard bulb. Pairing with a warm-white LED filament bulb at 2200K-2700K amplifies the amber glow of the copper glass.
A warm-white LED filament bulb at 2200K to 2700K works well inside the single E27 fitting, keeping the amber cast consistent across grouped pendants.

Frequently Asked
Is the Sonata dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The pendant itself has no integrated dimming. Dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulb you choose.
What bulb does it take?
The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with a 4-6W warm-white LED filament bulb at 2200K-2700K to bring out the amber glow of the copper glass.
Can multiple Sonata pendants be grouped together?
Yes. The 150mm diameter allows multiple pendants to be clustered without visual crowding. For a kitchen island, three pendants spaced 400-500mm apart work well over a 1800-2000mm length. Each pendant requires a separate ceiling rose and power feed.
Does the glass vary between pieces?
Yes. Each Sonata shade is handblown, so minor variations in the depth of copper tinting, the exact curve of the hourglass profile, and internal bubble patterns occur between individual pieces. This is a feature of the handblown process, not a defect.
