Description

The Solyra is a 47cm wire cage pendant light built from curved metal ribs that taper from a narrow collar at the top to a wide, onion-shaped body before tapering back inward at the base. The metal frame is finished in a brown metallic paint that catches and reflects light differently depending on viewing angle, giving the cage depth and visual texture. A single E27 bulb sits inside the cage, visible through the wire framework.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas where a mid-sized pendant provides both task and decorative lighting, the Solyra works best at heights of 700-900mm above a surface. The brown metallic finish pairs with warm timber furniture, terracotta tones and natural material interiors, while the open cage structure means the bulb choice directly affects the room's light character — a warm-white filament-style LED creates ambient glow, while a brighter daylight LED gives more functional task light.

The pendant hangs from a fabric-covered cable that softens the industrial feel of the wire cage. The 47cm diameter gives the fitting presence without overwhelming a typical 4-6 seater dining table or a 2m kitchen island. At 440mm tall the cage projects downward enough to define a zone of light beneath it while remaining compact enough for standard 2.4m ceiling heights when hung at dining-table height.

Made in Italy by Ideal Lux, the wire ribs are welded at junctions and the metallic finish is applied over the complete cage assembly. The E27 socket is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable LED bulb, allowing the light level to be adjusted for different times of day.
