Description

The Solstra-2 is a single-arm reading wall light with a flexible rubber-coated gooseneck arm extending from an 85mm diameter grey metal backplate to a chrome LED spotlight head. The integrated 4W LED delivers focused 3000K warm white light through the chrome head, which can be positioned across a wide range of angles by flexing the rubber-coated arm.

Designed as bedside reading light or task lighting in home offices and living rooms, the Solstra-2 mounts directly to the wall surface and sits approximately 200-250mm from the wall when fully extended, depending on how the arm is bent. The flexible arm holds its position once set, eliminating the need for mechanical joints or tightening screws to adjust the light angle. The grey backplate includes a key-switch for on/off control without needing to reach for a separate wall switch.

The rubber coating on the arm allows repeated adjustment without damaging the internal cable or weakening the gooseneck spring. The 85mm backplate is small enough to fit between a headboard and wall without blocking a bedside cabinet, and the chrome head provides contrast against the grey base. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior locations only — bathrooms and outdoor positions require higher IP-rated fittings.

Frequently Asked

Is the Solstra-2 dimmable?

No. The integrated LED operates at 4W on standard 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

How far does the arm extend from the wall?

The flexible arm is approximately 200-250mm long depending on how it is bent. The backplate sits 67mm from the wall at its deepest point, so the chrome LED head can reach up to 300mm from the wall when fully extended.

Does the arm stay in position once adjusted?

Yes. The rubber-coated gooseneck holds its position once bent, without needing mechanical joints or tightening screws.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is only suitable for dry interior locations. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher rated fittings depending on the zone.
