Description

The Solstra-1 is an adjustable LED wall spotlight with a flexible grey silicone arm connecting a polished chrome circular backplate to a cylindrical polished chrome lamp head. The integrated 4W LED inside the head casts warm 3000K light through a front lens, with the arm allowing the head to be positioned in any direction within approximately 300mm of the wall mounting point.

Designed for bedside reading, desk task lighting, and focused accent lighting in hallways or living rooms, the Solstra-1 provides directed light without needing a ceiling fitting or floor space. The silicone arm holds its position once adjusted, so the light stays aimed where you set it rather than drifting under its own weight. The 100mm diameter backplate mounts to a standard wall junction box or surface-mounted base, with the LED drawing 4W from mains power.

The grey silicone arm gives a softer appearance than rigid metal goose-neck fittings, and the polished chrome head and backplate reflect surrounding light to keep the fitting visually light in smaller rooms. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, making it comfortable for extended reading without the cooler blue tones of daylight-temperature LEDs. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor locations — bedrooms, living rooms, home offices, hallways.

Is the Solstra-1 dimmable?

No. The integrated 4W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light output is fixed at 4W, which provides focused task lighting rather than ambient room lighting.

How far can the arm reach?

The silicone arm extends approximately 300mm from the wall mounting point when fully extended. The arm is flexible and can be bent to position the light head at any angle within that radius, and it holds its position once adjusted.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact is present.

Does the LED need replacing?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux covers the LED under the 5-year warranty. Expected lifespan of the LED module is typically 25,000+ hours of use.
