Description

The Solstra-1 is a single-spot LED wall light with a flexible rubber-covered arm extending from a 100mm diameter circular black metal backplate. The spotlight head houses an integrated 4W LED operating at 3000K, providing warm white directional light suitable for reading, bedside task lighting, or workspace illumination. The arm adjusts through approximately 180 degrees of horizontal sweep and the head tilts vertically, allowing the beam to be directed onto book pages, work surfaces, or angled up for accent lighting.

Designed for installation next to beds, armchairs, desks and study areas, the Solstra-1 provides focused task light without requiring table or floor space. The 100mm backplate mounts flush to the wall and conceals the wiring entry point. The rubber-covered flexible arm extends approximately 300mm from the wall when fully extended, bringing the light source within comfortable reach of a seated position. The IP20 rating limits the spotlight to dry indoor locations — it cannot be used in bathrooms or outdoor settings.

The matt black finish on the metal body absorbs ambient light and sits comfortably against dark or medium-toned walls without creating strong contrast. Chrome detailing on the spotlight head adds a subtle accent where the arm meets the lamp cylinder. The non-dimmable 4W LED is factory-integrated and cannot be replaced or upgraded — when the LED reaches end of life the entire fitting requires replacement. The compact size and articulated arm make the Solstra-1 suitable for smaller bedrooms and study spaces where a conventional reading lamp would occupy valuable surface area.

No. The 4W LED is integrated into the spotlight housing and cannot be removed or replaced. When the LED reaches end of life, the entire fitting must be replaced. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering LED failure during normal use.

Is the Solstra-1 dimmable?

No. The integrated LED operates at fixed output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing the spotlight on a dimmed circuit will likely cause flickering or prevent the LED from operating.

How far does the arm extend from the wall?

The flexible arm extends approximately 300mm from the wall when fully extended, bringing the spotlight head within comfortable reach of a bedside or desk position. The arm can be bent closer to the wall if less projection is needed.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight has no moisture protection and must only be installed in dry indoor locations. It cannot be used in bathrooms, en-suites, or any area subject to steam or water splashes.
