Description
The Solstice is a brown powder-coated aluminium outdoor wall light with an integrated 20.5W LED and an adjustable opal polycarbonate diffuser. The rectangular white diffuser sits within a brown metal frame that pivots on its mounting point, allowing the light to be angled upwards to wash a wall, downwards to illuminate steps or pathways, or straight ahead for doorway lighting.
Designed for UK residential exteriors, the Solstice suits positions where both directed task light and a warm ambient glow are needed: beside front doors, along garden pathways, next to garage entrances, or flanking patio areas. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for partially sheltered positions under eaves or porches as well as fully exposed walls. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light that complements natural stone, brick and timber cladding.
The brown finish is a mid-tone powder coat applied over aluminium, offering corrosion resistance in UK coastal and urban environments. The 212mm width and 100mm projection give the fitting enough presence to balance against a standard UK front door without overwhelming a typical 1-2m wall section. The opal polycarbonate diffuser is glossy rather than frosted, giving a cleaner appearance when the light is off during daylight hours while still diffusing the LED evenly when lit.
The adjustable diffuser mechanism uses a friction hinge that holds position once set, so the light direction remains stable in wind and rain once adjusted during installation. The brown metal frame conceals the wiring entry point and the LED driver sits within the backplate, so there are no visible external components beyond the frame and diffuser.

Frequently Asked
Can the diffuser be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The opal diffuser pivots on a friction hinge within the brown metal frame, allowing it to be angled upwards, downwards or straight ahead. Once set, the hinge holds the position in wind and rain.
Is the Solstice suitable for fully exposed exterior walls?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for both partially sheltered positions (under eaves, porches) and fully exposed walls. It is not submersible and should not be mounted where it would be directly in standing water.
What wattage is the integrated LED?
The integrated LED is rated at 20.5W and emits 3000K warm white light. The LED is not user-replaceable; when the LED reaches end-of-life the entire fitting would need replacing.
Is the brown finish suitable for coastal environments?
The powder-coated aluminium construction offers corrosion resistance in UK coastal and urban environments. Regular cleaning to remove salt deposits will extend the finish life in direct coastal exposure.
