Solarium LED Outdoor Spotlight 5.5W 3000K IP68 - Black

The Solarium is a compact LED outdoor spotlight with a 5.5W integrated 3000K LED housed in an anodised and powder-coated aluminium cylinder. The spotlight head rotates and tilts on the mounting bracket, allowing the beam to be directed at walls, planting, paths or architectural features. The IP68 rating provides protection against dust ingress and sustained water immersion, making the fitting suitable for ground-level installation in gardens, driveways and courtyards where surface water pooling may occur.

The spotlight can be fitted in two ways: mounted to a wall or soffit using the supplied ceiling bracket, or driven into soil using a ground spike (available separately). When wall-mounted the 95mm projection keeps the fitting clear of the surface, allowing the head to rotate through approximately 180 degrees. When spike-mounted the fitting sits at ground level, providing upward wash lighting for trees, facades and boundary walls.

The dark grey anodised finish resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light comparable to halogen, with high colour rendering that shows greens, stone and brickwork accurately. The 5.5W output is sufficient to accent small trees, garden ornaments or signage from distances of 1-3 metres. An optional anti-glare visor clips onto the front bezel to reduce spill light and tighten the beam spread for more controlled accent lighting.

What does IP68 mean for outdoor use?

IP68 is the highest standard IP rating for dust and water protection. The first digit (6) indicates total dust ingress protection. The second digit (8) indicates the fitting can withstand sustained water immersion beyond 1 metre depth, making it suitable for ground-level installation where pooling or flooding may occur.

Can this be installed in the ground?

Yes. The spotlight accepts a ground spike (sold separately) that allows it to be driven into soil for upward wash lighting of trees, walls and facades. The IP68 rating protects the fitting when installed at ground level where water may collect.

Is the light adjustable after installation?

Yes. The cylindrical head rotates and tilts on the mounting bracket, allowing the beam direction to be adjusted after installation. This applies to both wall-mounted and spike-mounted configurations.

Does the anti-glare visor come included?
