Description

The Solar is a dual-GU10 outdoor wall light built around a cylindrical black aluminium body with a Pyrex glass diffuser at each end. One bulb sits at the top of the cylinder, the other at the base, directing light upwards and downwards to create a symmetrical wash on the wall surface. The 65mm width and 210mm projection give the fitting a compact profile that works on narrow porches, recessed entrances and garden boundaries where a larger wall light would overpower the space.

Designed for UK outdoor installation, the Solar carries an IP44 rating against rain and dust ingress, making it suitable for covered porches, sheltered house walls, garage entrances and garden structures with some overhead protection. The up-and-down light distribution highlights wall textures (brick, render, stone) and provides enough functional light for doorway illumination without glaring directly at visitors. The twin GU10 fittings accept standard LED or halogen bulbs (sold separately) up to the maximum wattage specified in the table below.

The black powder-coated aluminium resists corrosion in damp coastal and urban environments and pairs with black window frames, dark render finishes and contemporary slate or graphite cladding. The Pyrex glass diffusers resist thermal shock better than standard glass, handling the temperature cycling that comes with switching GU10 bulbs on and off in cold weather. The dimmable rating means the Solar works with compatible wall dimmers when paired with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs, giving control over light intensity for evening ambience or security lighting.
