Description

The Soho is a 660mm ceiling fan light combining a DC motor with an integrated LED ring that outputs 3150 lumens at 75W across a 120° beam angle. The LED is tuneable between 2700K warm white and 5000K cool white, controlled via the included remote or a companion smartphone app that adjusts both fan speed and light intensity independently.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan kitchen-dining areas with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Soho mounts flush to the ceiling at 245mm total drop including the fan assembly. The DC motor runs quieter than AC equivalents and draws less power across its speed range, making it suitable for bedrooms where noise intrusion matters. The matt black finish on the metal frame and blades creates a defined silhouette against white or light-coloured ceilings.

The circular LED ring sits at the centre of the fan, producing light that spreads evenly downward and outward rather than being concentrated in a single direction. The tuneable colour temperature allows the same fitting to produce warm ambient light for evening use and cooler task light for daytime work. Fan direction is reversible via the remote, allowing summer downdraft mode and winter updraft mode to redistribute warm air trapped near the ceiling. At 5.3kg the fitting requires a ceiling joist or cross-brace rated for the combined load of the fan and motor during operation.

Can the fan be used in winter as well as summer?

Yes. The fan direction is reversible via the remote control. In summer, set it to downdraft mode to push cool air down. In winter, reverse it to updraft mode to pull warm air trapped near the ceiling back down into the room without creating a cooling breeze.

How is the colour temperature adjusted?

The integrated LED is tuneable between 2700K warm white and 5000K cool white using either the included remote or the smartphone app. Both controls allow stepless adjustment across the full colour temperature range.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Soho mounts flush to the ceiling with a total drop of 245mm. For safety and airflow efficiency, ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m work best. Lower ceilings may result in the fan blades sitting too close to head height; higher ceilings reduce airflow effectiveness at floor level.

Does the DC motor make noise?
