Description

Our Snow White tea cup and saucer brings a gentle fairytale touch to the tea tray, in soft purple porcelain trimmed with gold. On the front of the cup, Snow White sits inside an oval wreath of leaves and white blossom, a little white bird perched on her raised hand and a red bow tied at the foot of the frame. The words "The Kindest of them All" run in dark script just inside the cup's rim and circle the wide rim of the saucer, set between small flower motifs. The round cup stands on a neat pedestal foot, with a glossy gold handle and a gold edge on both pieces.

The cup holds 240ml, a generous measure for a proper cup of tea with room for milk. Together the cup and saucer stand 9cm tall and measure 15cm across, so they sit happily on a breakfast tray, a bedside table or a dresser shelf between pours. We think it makes a thoughtful gift for a friend who grew up with the fairytale, and a sweet keepsake for a young fan aged 3 to 12 to keep on a bedroom shelf, where the princess artwork and gold detail can be admired every day.

Both pieces are porcelain, with the character artwork and lettering applied as a decal. To look after the gold rim and handle, we'd wash the cup and saucer by hand in warm soapy water, dry them with a soft cloth and keep them away from heavier crockery in the cupboard. For gifting, nest the cup in its saucer, wrap it in tissue and tuck a favourite loose-leaf tea alongside, or set it out on a lace doily with a slice of cake for a fairytale afternoon tea.

Both pieces are porcelain. The Snow White artwork and the lettering are applied as a decal, and the rims and the cup's handle are finished in gold.

What words are printed on it?

The words "The Kindest of them All" run just inside the rim of the cup and circle the rim of the saucer, set between small flower motifs.
