Description

This smoked LED globe bulb is a large glass sphere with a spiral filament that coils through its centre. The glass is vaporised to a black, see-through tint, so the unlit bulb reads as a smoky grey globe and the lit one glows a deep amber. It is 17cm long and 12.5cm in diameter, with a brass-coloured E27 screw cap. It draws 4W and gives 100lm of warm white light at 2000K, and it is dimmable. Rated IP20, it is made for indoor, dry rooms only.

It is not suitable as a main light source, so think of it as a bulb for mood and glow rather than one to light a whole room. It is at its best in an open pendant or a bare lampholder, where the globe and its spiral filament stay in full view.
