Description

This smoked LED bulb has a tall flame shape in black-transparent glass, with a gently rippled surface and a fine spiral filament that winds up a slim glass stem through the centre. It is 25.5cm long and 7.8cm across, a generous size that suits fittings where the bulb itself is on show. It has an E27 screw cap, draws 4W and gives 100 lumens at 2000K, a deep, amber warm light that the smoked glass softens further. The IP20 rating settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.

Hang it from a bare pendant flex over a side table, a reading chair or a kitchen island, or set it in an open shade where the rippled glass and the glowing filament stay visible. At 100 lumens it is a decorative light rather than a working one, so we would pair it with a brighter lamp where you read or cook and let this bulb set the mood in a living room, bedroom, hallway or dining space after dark. The smoked glass keeps the glow gentle on the eye, which is why it looks so good with nothing covering it.

The bulb is dimmable, so on a compatible dimmer switch you can take it down to a low ember glow for quiet evenings. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and weighs 0.233KG packed. Glass wipes clean with a soft, dry cloth. Before you order, check that your lampholder takes an E27 screw cap and that the shade or fitting leaves room for a bulb 25.5cm long and 7.8cm wide.
